NEW: Mistral and MCS 5542
Not one but two new rides produced by Mondial made their debute during the Foire du Trône in Paris this year: the new swing ride named Mistral and the latest Mondial wheel MCS 5542.
The Mistral, called the Power Maxx by its owner Mr. Jacquier, is a complete new Giant Swing Ride with a capacity of 20 passengers who are facing inward during their ride. With a speed of 75 km per hour this massive and impressive machine can swing up to 120 degrees and reach a height of 45 meters. Due to the long airtime the riders experience a spectacular sense of weightlessness at the top of the swing.
The Mistral is transportable on three integrated trailers but can also be produced as a park version.
Monde Festiv - Mr. Campion and Mr. Vatonne are the proud owners of the latest Mondial Giant wheel called “Roue de Paris “. This breath taking wheel with an impressive height of 60 meters and with its 42 gondola’s, gives the passangers a spectacular view into the world. The “Roue de Paris “ is another Giant Wheel featuring the Mondial Compact System (MCS) design-format. This means that the wheel’s foundation consists of the same 3 trailers that it is transported on. During set-up of the wheel the trailers are integrated forming the base for the masts.
The main benefits of this way of constructing are the following:
- The wheel and all its equipment are transported on a total of only 8 trailers.
- Very short set-up and dismantling time
- No mobile cranes needed at all.
- Small ground surface needed (21 x 19 m).
- Much power saved by using LED lighting.
- Enclosed gondolas.
- Easy to operate (automatic operation program).
The “Roue de Paris” can be admired on different locations in and around Paris year round. (Jardin des Tuileries until the 20th of August 2010, Place de la Concorde, end of November 2010)
